About the A-Team

The 2018 Hendry County team (pictured below) took the Division 3 championship title   for the entire state of Florida. This was the first time in history that the team has won this title!   We are so thrilled and cannot wait to attend the competition again this year to defend our title.    

Academic Team is an organization that facilitates Clewiston's best and brightest to showcase

their academic prowess against other teams from around the state. This is not a quick

response, "Trivial Pursuit" contest. Instead, it is a slower-paced tournament in which players are

asked questions from the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, the fine

arts, world languages (French and Spanish) physical education, health, and technology. In this

club, they often find a place in which they can collaborate with others at their level, as well and

foster lasting friendships and earning plentiful scholarships from competing and winning

competitions. The main goal of CHS Academic Team is to be good enough to place for the

prestigious Hendry County team, which competes at the Commissioner's Academic Challenge at

Walt Disney World annually, against the best of the rest of the state of Florida. If you feel that
