Mr. Mike Kemp

Mr. Mike Kemp teaches Marine Biology and Aquaculture to all Clewiston High School’s Tigers. He has been teaching at Clewiston High School for past 17 years. He enjoys coaching the Boys Golf team. Mr. Kemp earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Adrian College in Michigan. He is married with three children and six grandchildren.

Mr. Kemp's teaching philosophy is “Be Responsible and Do The Right Thing.”

Mr. Leslie Harn

Mr. Harn teaches Biology, Introduction to Engineering, and Computer Science Principles to students at Clewiston High School. He is the Science Department Chair, sponsors the STEM Club, and co-sponsors the Art Club. Mr. Harn attended college at Troy State University, FGCU, and Excelsior College in Albany, New York. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

  Mr. Harn's teaching philosophy is "Give a man a fish and you feed him for the day, teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

Mrs. Charla Diaz

Mrs. Charla Diaz teaches Integrated Science to all of Clewiston High School’s Tigers. She has previously taught Biology, Environmental Science, Physical Science and Credit Recovery. She has NG-CARPD and Mental Health First Aid USA certification. Mrs. Diaz graduated from Hodges University and is a certified Mental Health First Aider for students. Her classroom is a Safe Zone for students. Mrs. Diaz has one son, one daughter, and two large spoiled dogs. Mrs. Diaz is an aspiring writer and activist for animals. Mrs. Diaz was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, graduated from Lake Placid High School. She has taught at Clewiston High School for the past 19 years! 

Mrs. Diaz's classroom philosophy is  “Life is mind over matter and your mind matters to me.”

Mr. Daniel Montano

Daniel Montano is from Havana, Cuba. As a kid, he always admired his Science and History teachers for their ability to open windows into new and exciting topics. As an adult, he pursued his degree in Secondary Science Education in order to help young scholars discover the scientific knowledge accumulated by our society. Mr. Montano is excited to join the CHS family this year in order to teach young scholars about the myriad fields of science. Mr. Montano's hobbies include reading, archery, and numismatics. He looks forward to an exciting and productive year of learning alongside CHS faculty, scholars and parents.

Mr. Steven Gwyn

Mr. Gwyn teaches Earth-Space Science and Biology at Clewiston High School.  Mr Gwyn attended college at the University of North Carolina and Florida Gulf Coast University.  He has taught science at Clewiston Middle School for 15 years.  Mr Gwyn has been married for 35 years and has one child.  It is Mr Gwynś hope that students in science will acquire a deeper understanding of scientific principles that will allow them to better understand and respond to scientific issues they encounter on a daily basis.
